Derek Lynch, FMCHC

Derek is a Functional Medicine Certified Health Coach (FMCHC).

As part of the BCIM team, he provides the support, accountability and education patients need to make gradual, lifelong changes. His coaching training and philosophy is based on Functional Medicine evidence-based medical research and positive psychology.

Derek specializes in working with busy people, taking a personalized approach with each patient to co-create a program that ultimately leads to sustainable change and a life of vitality.

He received his health coaching education and training through the Functional Medicine Coaching Academy associated with the Institute of Functional Medicine of the Cleveland Clinic. He also holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree from Temple University.

Derek first came to BCIM as a patient with a chronic condition. He worked with the BCIM team and reversed the symptoms of his condition through diet and lifestyle changes. This success inspired him to help others with chronic diseases to do the same.

Derek resides in Newtown, Bucks County, with his wife Mary, and enjoys learning about all things health and wellness, participating in CrossFit, playing piano, listening to music and making simple, nutritious meals at home.
